5 tips for choosing the perfect pineapple. It’s not so easy!

Pineapple is a great product for people who care about their health and body. If you add a small portion of pineapple to your regular diet, you can significantly improve the condition of the body. However, only ripe pineapples, which you need to be able to choose correctly, have a pleasant taste.

How to choose a ripe pineapple?
# 1. Pineapple color

The pineapple should be yellow. Ripe pineapple has a golden yellow hue. If you notice green areas, it means it’s not ready. By the way, if you want pineapples to ripen faster, keep them upside down and don’t forget to cut all the leaves.

# 2. Pineapple leaves

Pineapple leaves should be strong and have a dark green shade. If the leaves fall off easily, it means the fruit is about to spoil. And if the leaves are difficult to detach from the fruit, it means the pineapple is not ripe enough. If you have torn off at least one leaf effortlessly, know that the fruit is ripe.

# 3. Pineapple appearance

I used to say that ripe pineapple should have a golden yellow hue. If the fruit has orange blotches, it means it is about to go bad. You also need to pay attention to its spines. The spines are soft when the fruit is ripe and good to eat. If they are strong, it means the pineapple has not yet matured.

# 4. The smell of pineapple

The ripe fruit has a sweet and fragrant smell. If the aroma is weak, it is better not to buy it, and if the pineapple smells like vinegar, it means that it has started to ferment and the fruit is about to go bad.

# 5. Pineapple leaves (color)

As a rule, the leaves should be dark green in color. Yellow leaves are allowed. These pineapples can be eaten immediately after purchase.
